CALL FOR PAPERS
Participants are invited to submit papers (2-6 pages depending on the type of submission, minimum of 2 pages) in ACM CHI extended abstract format describing positions, preliminary research or evaluation results, prototypes, design work, works-in-progress or applications, relating to Mobile Immersive Visualizations. Other attendees from MobileHCI, those not submitting a paper, are welcome to register for and attended the workshop as well!
This workshop is for a half-day of planned presentations of accepted papers and focused lively discussions. Possible topics include, but not limited to:
Natural user interfaces
Interaction modalities
Selection
Manipulation
Quality of immersion
Immersion Fidelity
Physical and cognitive fatigue
Low-cost immersive systems (input and output)
User goals and workflow
Analysis tools
as they relate to mobile technologies in the
context of immersive visualizations.
The best paper from this workshop will be nominated for inclusion in the 4th special issue of the the International Journal of Mobile HCI (IJMHCI).
A special issue of the International Journal of Mobile HCI (IJMHCI) has been published to showcase the best papers from each of the MobileHCI workshops. This has been a huge success, with some really interesting and high quality research in the field of Mobile HCI being published in the IJMHCI.

AUTHOR INSTRUCTIONS
* Questions should be sent to wmiv2013organizers [at]
googlegroups.com.
Please include authors, affiliation, and contact information when
submitting.
* Submission for review: position papers of 2 to 4 pages, research papers of 4 to 6 pages length. Papers should be prepared using the ACM CHI extended abstract format. All submitted materials must be in PDF format with embedded fonts. Camera-ready documents will be included in the proceedings on the workshop website.
* Submissions will be peer-reviewed and authors of accepted papers will be invited to present at the workshop. Demonstrations of prototype interfaces, interaction modalities, and interactive immersive systems are highly encouraged. Participants providing a demonstration will be asked to submit a brief abstract and short video, along with their submission.
* Don’t forget to register! Authors with submissions are guaranteed access
to the workshop but must still register. At least one author from each
submission must register by June 15, 2013 to assure publication in the
conference proceedings. Other participants are welcomed and encouraged to
register and attend for the discussion.
*Technical requirements shall
include a medium sized lecture space complete with projector, screen, and
multiple microphones for speaker and audience members. Additionally, there may
be a few demonstrations that might require additional power source and tables.
